About Clay-Go (mobile pottery)

Clay-Go is our way to bring the pottery experience to your place, your community. All we need from you is a place to host the class. We bring the clay, the tools and the teacher with abundance of creative ways to explore pottery. Then we take it back to our studio and fire it, so you can have your own created pottery to use in your daily life.

Clay-Go can be a one time event to multiple sessions. You choose how long and how many classes you would like to host from our program. We serve throughout the King County region and other locations nearby.

Clay-Go empowers the next generation of youth’s imagination along with new family bond experiences. Our professional teaching potters provides a visceral creative education opportunities that use the tactile medium of clay to nurture imagination, critical thinking, persistence, and a sharing spirit.

Clay-Go operates all year round. We offer one-time programs and extended classes ranging from 1 ~ 6 weeks in length.

How a Clay-Go session happens

Fill out our online form to request Clay-Go to do a youth/parent pottery class at your place.

  1. Clay-Go is a mobile pottery where we come to you with a teaching pottery artist with all the supplies and materials needed for a ceramics pottery lesson.

  2. You provide a room where the pottery class can be held at. Access to water, tables and chairs are helpful. If not we bring that too.

  3. The pottery classes emphasize the hand building techniques in a 90 minute long, action first explanation later type program. Set-up and clean-up is part of the lesson.

  4. The created pottery will then be transported back to Soos Creek Studio for firing the pottery.

  5. The finished pottery will then be made available for pick-up or delivery. Typically the finished work will be available 2~3 weeks after the end of the session.
