We believe young hands benefit from touching the earth. Introducing ceramic ware from a young age gives them the ability to learn texture and appreciation for earthly materials. Plastic isn’t a sustainable product to the earth. It is too light, and has little importance if dropped or thrown. You can’t teach value and fragility with your children when you use plastic. Using pottery from a young age teaches children the importance of caring for things of value. The toddler ware is designed for little hands. The cup, bowl and plate nestles nicely into the toddler hands. Each piece is made from clay weighed carefully at 11 ounces, the weight of a human heart. When it is fired, it shrinks to 8 ounces, the average weight of child’s heart. This is a meaningful step carefully incorporated in every piece.

The exterior of the pottery is purposely unglazed to provide texture and adds to a secure grip. The surface builds the child’s tactile ability at a young age. It also has the right weight at approximately 8 oz each. The cup holds approximately 4~5 oz.
